Glad to read this story on the Canadian, where OPP PC Jack Davis blogs on his progress.

: "An elegant dinner / dance fundraiser for Const. Cy Villa was a resounding success, organizers said Sunday. The event set in the atrium of Assumption College drew more than 300 $50-ticket holders who enjoyed dinner, bid on items in a silent auction and participated in various draws. Villa, 26, is the officer who was paralysed in July after falling eight feet onto a concrete ledge while he was chasing a suspect. Villa will be released from the hospital by the new year and his fellow officers are raising funds in hope of having a new fully-accessible home built for him on Mount Pleasant by that point. "

A fascinating discussion over at the Hostingmatters remote forum about this DOS attack and how it is ruining people's livelihoods.

Many thanks to Debbeye at Being American in T.O., who informs us that Hostingmatters is under attack again.

"Hosting Matters is under attack (again) which means that Instapundit and Little Green Footballs (among others) are unavailable, but Tim put up a Right On! Blog Backup page after the first attack so you can go there for your Right On! fix."

Anyone who doesn't believe this is a war should wake up.

This couldn't have happened to a more smug individual:CNEWS Canada - Rock says no conflict, but concedes freebie trip should have been cleared: "But Rock insisted he was not in a conflict of interest at the time of the family holiday because he was then minister of health. And Rock said he subsequently took steps to keep clear of 'decisions that directly related to the corporate interests of the Irving companies,' after being appointed industry minister. "

We can only hope this brings down Mr. Rock.

ARghhh...not again.CBC News: Toronto police search for girl abducted from her home: "Police in Toronto are asking for community help in the abduction of a nine-year-old girl. Police say Cecilia Zhang, a Grade 4 student, disappeared from her home. They say they found evidence of foul play at the scene. "

Let's pray this girl comes home safely. It doesn't look good.

Oh no! Hostingmatters is under attack again.
